In 2025, we transitioned our pensioner payment services from the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador to CIBC Mellon; therefore, if you received pension payments before May 2025, you will receive two separate T4A tax slips for the 2025 tax year. You will receive a T4A from the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador (for the payment period January – April 2025) and a T4A from CIBC Mellon (for the payment period May – December 2025). Both slips are required when filing your income tax return.
You can also access your T4A slip online through the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) My Account in early March.
If you do not receive a copy of your T4A slip by mid-March and are unable to access it online, please contact us to request a reprint.
